But I regret my sin. Oh, how I regret it!
My back bends under the weight of my guilt. My heart pounds in anguish. My eyes are so busy crying they can’t even think about seeing. My bones ache from this cancer of sin.
So do not sentence me. Do not reject me. Do not walk away.
Though I have sinned.
Instead, come quickly to help me. Save me from myself. Clean the mess that is me.
