“It is finished (Jn. 19:30 ESV).”
Jesus is thankfully praying, “You still stop. You still bring sorrow to an end. You do not permit it to linger forever. You do what must be done and then you put an end to it. You have accomplished all you needed to through my suffering and now you have ended it.”
