DAY TWELVE: Saturday
9 Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name,
10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Phil. 2:9-11 ESV)
My beloved,
God turned my trial into triumph. I spent time in the valley. But I wound up on the mountain top. Death did not win the war. Evil did not have the day. Darkness could not prevail.
After the humility of the cross, my father highly exalted me. After being called every name in the book, my father gave me the name that is above every name. I went from common criminal to crowned King.
And what you need to know is this: my story is your story. If you’ll lower yourself in service to others, God will lift you up. If the Evil One knocks you down, the Eternal One will pull you up. If injustice wins a battle, justice will win the war. Yours really is a happily-ever-after-story.
So don’t worry when tough times hit. Don’t fret when wickedness seems overwhelming. Don’t pull the covers over your head when there’s nothing but bad news. Believe in the better ending that is our story. And trust that I, the one before whom every knee will bow and every tongue will confess, am still on the throne and on the job.
Grace and peace,
Jesus
