I preached a lesson at Highland this morning on a Christian view of the environment. I was surprised at the many who said, “I’ve been attending church for X years and that’s the first sermon I’ve ever heard on the environment.” One person told me that her friend leaned over and whispered into her ear as I preached, “I guess he’s a Democrat.”
Overall, the reception was positive. Our preaching apprentice, Josh Ray, closed with twelve practical steps for us to consider as we explore engaging the environment in Christian ways.
