Last Saturday, largely due to the leadership of Highland’s teens, we distributed over 200 shoes to men, women and children in Memphis who needed them. Leadership from Memphis City Schools came to participate as school children received shoes. On Sunday at Highland, as one man reported on the distribution, he broke into tears, because so many had to be turned away. It was a day of great joy and great saddness. Praise God for the opportunity to be a great blessing in such a practical way to so many. Pray to God for an even greater provision so that those who were turned away might receive what they need.
