Lord, the contractor can construct an award-winning house.

But if you aren’t the foreman, something’s missing.

The council can call every officer to stand guard at the city limits.

But if you aren’t the police chief, something’s missing.

I can get up earlier than most and stay up later than many.

But if you aren’t number one on my to-do list, something’s missing.

You, Lord, wish to be integral to our everyday work.

From our career to our security to our next project, you desire to be woven into our daily life.

May you, Lord, be in every step I take and every move I make today.
