Prayer from Psalm 126: Harvesting Joy

This entry is part 131 of 158 in the series Prayers from the Psalms

Lord, we have met moments of pain.

We have suffered seasons of darkness.

But each time, like the hand on a clock, that period passes.

Like winter, spring, summer, and fall, that season transitions.

And what was sown in tears becomes a harvest of joy!

You bring pleasure where there was once only pain.

You deliver delight where there was once only darkness.

O Lord, once again, please turn my weeping into dancing!
