Prayer from Psalm 22: Forsaken Not

This entry is part 22 of 158 in the series Prayers from the Psalms

My God, my God…

I was forsaken.

Abandoned.

Rejected.

You tossed me to the angry bulls, the roaring lions, and the hungry dogs.

My heart melted like wax.

But then you delivered me from the dogs, lifted me from the lions, and beat back those bulls.

You have not forsaken.

Not abandoned.

Not rejected.

So I’ve joined my voice with the other not-forsaken voices.

Together we sing praises to you.

You did it, Lord.  You did it!
