You were with me the day Mom exclaimed, “I’m pregnant!”

You’ve been with me every day since.

When I sit, you sit with me.

When I walk, you walk with me.

You know what I’m going to say before I say it.

You know what I’m going to do before I do it.

If I rocketed into space to a distant planet, if I took an elevator to the center of the earth, if I booked a flight to a remote jungle location, you’d already be there, a divine welcome committee.

You are ever present.

Because of this, I am ever thankful.
