Prayer from Psalm 129: Down and Out

This entry is part 137 of 158 in the series Prayers from the Psalms

Lord, I’ve had it tough since the day I was born.

Painful people and faithless foes can be found in every journal entry of my life.

Especially today.

Today I feel like I’ve been run over by a truck.  The thoughtless words of selfish people have hit me like a ton of bricks.

I wish, Lord, that they’d blow out of this town with the next windstorm.

I wish, Lord, that you’d treat them the way they treated me.

I hope, Lord, that tomorrow will be a better day.
