Prayer from Psalm 126: Harvesting Joy

This entry is part 134 of 158 in the series Prayers from the Psalms

Lord, we have met moments of pain.  We have suffered seasons of darkness.

But each time, like the hand on a clock, that moment finally changes.  Like winter, spring, summer, and fall, that season eventually transitions.

And what was sown in tears is reaped with joy!  The moment of pain turns to a time of rejoicing.  The season of suffering passes to a period of comfort.

You bring pleasure where there was once only pain.  You deliver delight where there was once only darkness.

For this, O Lord, we praise you.
