Prayer from Psalm 65: Overwhelmed No More

This entry is part 65 of 158 in the series Prayers from the Psalms

forgivenWith might you shaped the mountains.  With creativity you decorated the hills and valleys.  With care you watered the land.  With generosity you brought forth abundant crops.  With patience you answered our prayers.

For this we praise and sing songs of joy.

But our praise and joy is also triggered by this: you forgave our sins.  We were overwhelmed by our sins–crushed, wounded, ashamed, and afraid.  But you forgave.  You pardoned.  You took them away.

You truly are the hope of all the earth.
